NEW DELHI, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- The government of central India's Madhya Pradesh decided to include yoga in school curriculum from the next academic session in the state, local newspaper the Indian Express reported Sunday.

"A sound body and a sound mind are pre-requisites for all successful activities. Yoga is a healthy way of living," said Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The inclusion of yoga in school syllabus would enable students to be strong mentally and physically, he said, adding that efforts should be made both at the government and private levels to spread the benefits of yoga.
