Bank retiree helps poor students for 30 years

BEIJING, Jan. 29 -- Yang Jude, 95, a retired Bank of China official in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, has been financially supporting poor students for more than 30 years.

"I keep enough money for daily necessities, and donate the rest of my salary to poor college students so that they can receive a good education," Yang said.

His son, Yang Jian said his father also wants to donate his body for medical research when he dies.
