MOSCOW, July 29 (Xinhua) -- More than 90 children were hospitalized Monday for food poisoning after having supper at a summer camp in Russia's Krasnoyarsk territory in Siberia, Russia's consumer rights watchdog said Tuesday.
Eleven children at the Salyut Camp were seriously ill with a suspected stomach infection, with 62 others in a "moderately grave" condition, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing a spokesman for the consumer rights watchdog.
A criminal case has been opened and the investigation into the case is underway.
In late June, a total of 70 children at the Solnechny summer camp in Krasnoyarsk were hit by yersiniosis, a bacterial infection usually contracted through consumption of undercooked meat, milk, water or vegetables.
