MANILA, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Philippine health officials reported 33 newly-confirmed cases of Influenza A/H1N1 on Thursday, bringing the total to 344 in the Southeast Asian country.

Twenty-four of the flu cases are male, while the rest of the 33 are female, Health Secretary Francisco Duque said in a press release. The age range of these cases is from 1 to 52 years old.

All but two of the 33 patients are Filipinos, he added.

Meanwhile, the health chief reported 149 fully-recovered patients, which brought the total count of recovered A/H1N1 cases to 242 in the country.

"So far the country has no reported case of death or severe illness in all of the 344 documented positive cases," Duque said.
