A northern Arizona ski resort is opening for three days this week, thanks to recent snow storms.
Skiers and snowboarders can hit the slopes at the Arizona Snowbowl on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
But marketing director Dave Smith says a firm opening date for the season will depend on additional snowfall, which isn't in the forecast this week.
He says recent winter storms dropped 27 inches of snow on the mountain, which had been bare. The resort typically opens for the season in mid-December.
Sunrise Park and Resort located in the White Mountains plans to open Friday.
