BEIJING, Jan. 25(Xinhuanet)-- Australian pop star Kylie Minogue is suing legendary British record producer Peter Waterman for alleging underpaid royalties, the Sunday Age newspaper reported.

Photo: Yahoo Minogue has claimed in the Victoria state Supreme Court that Waterman's company PAL Productions underpaid royalties for her"Greatest Hits" album which was released in 1992 and rereleased in 2002.

An auditing firm hired by Minogue and her family found that Minogue was underpaid by more than 10 percent, or about$830,000. PAL since paid nearly$500,000, but Minogue's company lodged papers seeking unspecified damages, interest and costs.

Waterman was part of the legendary trio of Stock Aitken Waterman which has produced many of the biggest hit singles ever and which launched Minogue's recording career outside Australia in 1988 when he wrote her the song"I should be so lucky" which topped the British charts for five weeks.
