wife May May(baidu photo)BEIJING, Mar. 16-- Hong Kong pop king Jacky Cheung announced he is the proud father of a second daughter. In a news release Monday, the singer confirmed suspicions and admitted his wife May May gave birth to their second daughter March 8.

In the news release, Cheung explained in a humorous way why he kept the news secret.

"Though I am excited about being a father again, it is a minor thing compared to really important news like the resignation of chief executive Tung Chee-hwa and the re-election of the chief executive of the HKSAR."

Then he tried wittily to shift media focus to the others by stating"Beyond my happiness, I am still very curious about things like who will be the next chief executive? Is Feye Wong remarried and pregnant? Who is the girl friend of Jerry Yan?"
