HK Disneyland unveils rail line

(Baidu photo)BEIJING, April 27-- With the help of Donald Duck and a cloud of silver confetti, officials unveiled a new rail line Monday for Hong Kong Disneyland.The Disneyland Resort line is the world's first train route specifically dedicated to a theme park.

The line is a branch off the already existent subway line from Central Hong Kong to Disneyland's new home, Lantau Island.

The 3.5-kilometer train line cost 2 billion Hong Kong dollars, or about 257 million US dollars to build, but will be able to shuttle nearly 10,000 passengers per hour.

According to the Chief executive of the project, the Disneyland Resort line will take guests to a magical new world.

The train is decorated in proper Disney fashion from the Mickey Mouse shaped windows to the brightly colored exterior of the train.

The 3 and a half-minute train journey is essential for any visitor who wants to enjoy the full Disneyland experience.

The train line is scheduled to open September 12th.
