BEIJING, Aug. 3-- Chinese mainland actress and singer Huang Yi has released"First Summer" her first album since joining Sony.

The star continues her eclectic mix of styles, sampling hip-pop, classic disco and ballads on the record. Famous producers from Taiwan, Chinese mainland and Singapore contributed, and were invited to explore different styles.

Huang Yi designed the album cover herself and described the production process as a labor of love.

The royalties of the first 200,000 albums as well as the download income from the melody and pictures on the internet will be donated to the Chinese Charity Federation of which the singer is an honorary member.
