in"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"
BEIJING, Nov. 22-- Latest Harry Potter movie,"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" took in$102.3 million during its debut weekend, becoming the fourth movie in history to earn that much in its first three days.
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" outpaced the opening weekend take for the previous three"Potter" films, all of which went on to top a quarter-billion dollars in ticket sales.
Each film in the series, based on the phenomenally popular J.K. Rowling books, has been a blockbuster, but"Goblet of Fire" is the franchise's best debut by almost$9 million.
Other"Potter"films include"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"(2001);"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"(2002); and"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"(2004).
