BEIJING, Sept.29 -- The participation of Hong Kong star Andy Lau has been confirmed in "Crazy Stone" director Ning Hao's next project, "Crazy Racer."

The film is based on Ning Hao's novel "Red Bicycle" and will continue in the same vein as "Crazy Stone's" black comedy style with a budget of 20 million yuan, or about 2.5 million US dollars.

The film tells the story of two mail carriers from different express companies who often compete with each other. Their flying speeds are used by a group of mobsters to deliver dynamite. The film starts filming at the end of this year.

The original lineup from "Crazy Stone" will also star in the new "Crazy" series, including lead actor Guo Tao. Andy Lau will play as a traffic policeman.

The film is slated to premiere during the Chinese National Day Holiday over October 1 next year.
