Tens of thousands flock to Tian'anmen for celebrations

Tens of thousands of people celebrated the 57th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China by attending the National Day flag-raising ceremony in Beijing's Tian'anmen Square at dawn Sunday.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, more than 220,000 people took part in the event.
