BEIJING, Oct. 11 -- Young Chinese actress Tian Yuan's two movies "Story in August" and "Adolescence" have entered the Winds of Asia section at this year's Tokyo International Film Festival.

Her last film, "Luxury Car," has won the main sideline competition at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.

The 21-year-old actress is still a college student at Beijing Lauguage and Culture University.

Five years ago, she was the lead singer in a famous band called "Hopscotch."

Later, she was cast in Hong Kong female director Yan Yan Mak's lesbian movie "Butterfly," which won her the Best Newcomer award at the Hong Kong Film Awards that year.
