(Xinhua/Reuters FilePhoto) BEIJING, May21 (Xinhuanet)-- Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone was Monday fined 2,450 U.S. dollars for bringing banned human growth hormones and testosterone into Australia, according to media reports. New South Wales state Deputy Chief Magistrate Paul Cloran also ordered Stallone to pay the prosecution costs of 8,244 U.S. dollars. The magistrate said Stallone had tried to deceive customs officers by claiming to have a prescription for the human growth hormone, Jintropin, found in his luggage at Sydney airport in February. The maximum penalty for bringing Jintropin into Australia without a license is a fine of 91,500 dollars and five years in prison. Stallone, who was not present in court, pleaded guilty last week. He went to the country to promote his latest "Rocky" movie. The "Rocky" star said he had been taking the substances under medical supervision for years to treat a medical condition and did not know they were illegal. (Agencies)
