Hong Kong pop star Andy Lau points the finger yesterday as he announces his twomonthlong "Wonderful World" concert tour which will kick off on September 1 and include 15 cities around the country.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 2 -- HONG Kong pop star Andy Lau announced yesterday that he will start his "Wonderful World" concert tour in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on September 1.

In two months, Lau will perform in 15 cities around the country, including Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Chengdu and Harbin. He will return to Hong Kong for a series of concerts over Christmas holidays before he continues overseas next year.

The Shanghai concert will be staged at the 43,000-seated Shanghai Stadium on October 27. Tickets, starting from 120 yuan (US$15), will go on sale soon.

"I'm very excited about my debut in Hohhot," Lau said at yesterday's press conference in Shanghai. "I enjoy exploring places I have never been. Hohhot will be the most distant part in China I have performed in."

Lau said the concert tour has cost 60 million yuan and the stage will feature a state of the art Japanese LED screen which will be seen for the first time in China.
