BEIJING, Aug.3 (Xinhuanet) -- Nicole Richie has requested to serve her four-day sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif. -- the same jail where Paris Hilton endured her hard time, media reported Friday.

"Nicole Richie's attorney has indicated that she wants to do her time in county jail," LA County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told US Weekly.

"Lynood is the only county jail for women in Los Angeles, so if she does go to county jail she will go to Lynwood."

The facility housed Paris during her jail stays earlier this summer.

Whitmore couldn't say whether Richie, who confirmed earlier this week that she's pregnant, would be housed at the facility's medical ward.

"That's all determined by our medical staff upon her arrival," said Whitmore.

The 25-year-old reality TV star was arrested in December for driving the wrong way on a freeway in Burbank.

The daughter of Lionel Richie pleaded guilty last week to a misdemeanor charge in a deal with prosecutors that helped her avoid a potential year in jail on her second DUI conviction (she had an alcohol-related conviction in 2003).
