(Xinhua Photo) Photo Gallery>>> BEIJING, Sept. 4 -- The mainland release of Ang Lee's spy epic "Lust, Caution" has been be postponed by a month to Oct. 26, which means that it won't compete for the National Day holiday crowd with "The Sun Also Rises," scheduled to be released Sept. 21. Gao Jun, chief of the Beijing New Film Association, was quoted as saying in a report published on the popular website Sohu.com that the producers of "Lust, Caution" had informed the association about the postponement. No reason was given, however, Gao said. The latest Ang Lee opus, "Lust, Caution," held its world premiere in Venice on Aug. 31, and won acclaim from the media and the audience. It was recently given an NC-17 rating in the United States, signifying that admission to the film will not be granted to anyone under the age of 17. Some media reports have suggested that some sex scenes could be cut when it opens in Chinese theaters. Meanwhile, actor-turned-director, Jiang Wen's third directorial work "The Sun Also Rises," will be screened during the golden week, along with many other domestic movies, such as "Invisible Wings" and "Sunshine in the Alley."
