People experience virtual earthquake

An education and communication center for civil protection was established Wednesday in Beijing's Xicheng District, allowing locals easy access to public security knowledge.

Located underground, the center is equipped with a supervision system. It also provides case analyses of fire accidents. A platform simulates the tremors of an earthquake in a moving, tilting house to train people to be self-reliant in the event of an actual earthquake.
