The 3rd Three Kingdoms Cultural Week was opened in the Xudu Capital Park, in Xuchang City, central China's Henan Province, June 1, 2009.

This Three Kingdoms Cultural Week will stage a series of distinctive pageants, including the Etiquette Quad Array greeting guests, Ceremonial Opening of Prime Minister Cao Cao's Official Compound, A Hundred Brush Calligraphers' Works Exhibition and more.

Xuchang was the seat of capital of the Wei State, one of the three kingdoms that ruled northern China then.
