Richard Ramsey, 77, a 20-year Navy veteran from New Jersey, became Renee Ramsey this June, according to Philadelphia Inquirer Wednesday.

Richard may be among the oldest people in the U.S. to undergo a sex-change operation.

Ramsey said she knew from the time she was a child that she was "different," but she served in the Navy for 20 years as a man, and went on to marry twice and have four children.
