The art of paper texture painting in Yongchun County, southeast China's Fujian Province, dates back to some 1000 years ago
In order to create an unique effect of the paper texture painting, the artist has to tailor a paper painting into strips which are 2 millimeters wide with a special knife, interweave them with blank paper strips and color the overall artwork.
