A hair-braiding contest was held in Moyu county, Hotan prefecture in Northwest China's Xinjiang autonomous region, Aug 26, 2011.
The contest attracts about 200 Uygur women and hundreds of tourists from both inside and outside Xinjiang. Long braids are a traditional Uygur hairstyle.
