PHNOM PENH, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s recent nuclear test has posed serious threat to regional peace, security, and stability, Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement released to the media on Tuesday.

The statement said Cambodia regretted and expressed its "grave concern" over the nuclear test conducted by the DPRK on Sept. 3.

"The sixth nuclear test is a repeated violation of the relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolutions and poses serious threat to peace, security and stability in the Korean Peninsula, and in this region as a whole and will further deteriorate the already tense situation in the Korean Peninsula," it said.

"Cambodia urges the DPRK to fully comply with all relevant UNSC Resolutions and its international obligations and to cease all nuclear and missile tests in order to safeguard peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula," it said.
