Russia's Dina Averina wins first two golds in Rhythmic gymnastics worlds in Sofia

Dina Averina of Russia won the first two gold medals in the 36th FIG rhythmic gymnastics world championship here on Tuesday evening.

In the individual hoop final, Averina gained 20.850 points, her twin Arina came third with 19.700 points, and Linoy Ashram of Israel grabbed the silver medal with 20.000.

Averina snatched her second gold medal in the individual ball event, gaining 20.300, just 0.100 more than her compatriot Aleksandra Soldatova, while Alexandra Agiurgiuculese of Italy came third with 19.900.

More than 350 athletes from 61 countries and regions participate in the seven-day championship, which kicked off in Arena Armeec Hall on Monday. Enditem
