Monaco recruit N'Koudou and Silva on loan

PARIS, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Ligue 1 club Monaco on Thursday announced the arrival of Georges-Kevin N'Koudou and Adrien Silva loaned until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old N'Koudou made his professional debut at Nantes in the 2013-14 season. The young offensive midfielder played a second full season before joining Olympique Marseille.

With 10 goals and 5 assists in 41 games on the at Marseille, N'Koudou went to Tottenham in August 2016.

"I look forward to meeting my teammates and giving everything on the field with this red and white jersey," N'Koudou commented.

Silva is a product of Sporting Clube de Portugal where he made his professional debut in the 2007-08 season. After 242 games including 34 games in European competitions, and a season under Monaco's current head coach Leonardo Jardim in 2013-14, he transferred to Leicester in January 2018.

Silva has 26 caps for the Portuguese national team, with which he won the Euro 2016 title.

"I look forward to meeting my teammates, and doing my best to help the club reverse the situation," said Silva.

Monaco also sent Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans to Premier League side Leicester on loan until the end of the season.

Brazilian striker Carlos Vinicius had joined Monaco on loan on Wednesday.

Vinicius played the first part of the season in Portuguese top-flight leadue's club Rio Ave FC, scoring 14 goals in 20 games.

He was revealed last season at Real Queluz, Portugal's second division club, scoring 20 goals in 39 games prior to his transfer to Napoli.

The 2017 French champions Monaco currently sit second from bottom at the table. They have signed several players, headed by Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas, in this winter transfer window to bolster their squad.
