Seven popular Chinese blockbusters will be screened throughout the week, including How Long Will I Love You, Hold Your Hands, and The Photographer.

Sheikh Majid Al Mualla, chairman of the Board of Directors at "Halla China" (hello in Arabic), said that "the Chinese film industry is an important force in the international film market, which has achieved tremendous growth in the past few years."

"Dubai China Film Week invites Chinese artists and filmmakers to the UAE to learn about the country's top film production infrastructure and post-production team, hoping to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries through cooperation," he added.

Li Xuhang, China's Consul General to Dubai, said in his speech that film is an important form of cultural exchange, which is a window to showcase the culture of a country and an important way to enhance mutual understanding between people of all countries.

He added these films showing the Chinese spirit, Chinese value and Chinese strength will help the UAE audiences deepen their understanding of China.
