China's first human test of AIDS vaccine

A group of eight volunteers chosen from Guangxi Medical University participated in the first human trials of a new AIDS vaccine that China had developed.

Each of the volunteers would receive compensations of at least 2,000 yuan (US$240).

A further 49 volunteers are needed to take the experiments.
