Rumsfeld arrived in Beijing Tuesday for a three-day visit, his first as the US secretary of defense. He will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao, also chairman of the Central Military Commission, and will visit the headquarters of the strategic rocket forces at Qinghe, making him the first U.S. official ever to see the Second Artillery complex.
