Forest fire threatens Kunming

Policemen try to put out a forest fire in Anning, southwest China's Yunnan Province, April 5, 2006.

At 4 p.m. March 29, a fire started two kilometers away from Wenquan town, and as of April 3, the burned area reached 466 hectares, threatening the Xishan Scenic Area of Kunming City, the provincial capital.
