Pursuing the policy of "two exemptions and one subsidy" for students from poor families who are of compulsory education age group in rural areas since 2003 (exemptions of miscellaneous fees, textbook fees and provision of room and board subsidies), Namling County has made efforts to increase school-age girls' education opporunities. The latest statistics show the county's enrolment rate of primary school-age girl is 99.06 percent.
