The U.S. Coast Guard's Cutter Rush docks in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, June 11, 2006.

U.S. authorities are calling the visit "historic", as it is the first major cutter to visit China since World War II, and is aimed at improving international cooperation in maritime law enforcement, China Daily reported.
