Handmade moon cakes greet Mid-Autumn Festival

A villager makes moon cakes in Nanyijian Village of Pingyao County, north China's Shanxi Province, Oct. 4, 2006, as the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls on Oct. 6 this year, is coming up. The villagers in Pingyao County used to cook and taste handmade moon cakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival, mostly celebrated on the 15th day of August in Chinese lunar calendar, to bring the best wishes to their family members.(Xinhua Photo)
