DOHA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- World championships finalist Huang Xiaoxiao clocked 55.41 seconds to win the women's 400m hurdles event at the Asian Games here on Sunday.

Huang beat Japan's Satomi Kubokura to the second place by 1.08 seconds, while Malaysia's Mohd Khalid Noraseela took the bronze with a time of 56.85.

The 23-year-old hurdler, however, was unsatisfied with her time.

"It's an easy win. I should have been much faster," said a confident Huang, whose left Achilles's tendon was still hurting during her one-lap race but it seemed no other competitors had taken an advantage of her injury.

"All my rivals were not running on a same level with me, that failed to bring all out of myself," she added.

She set up her reputation as the first Chinese woman to reach the final of the 400m hurdles at last year's world championships. After storming into the final in Helsinki, Finland with her personal best of 54.34 seconds, the Shandong native grabbed the fifth place.

One month later, Huang defended her title in the event at the 2005 Asian championships, bettering her own championship record of55.66 seconds by 0.03.
