China's Chen Lina wins gold in women's Mistral at Doha Asiad

DOHA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chen Lina from China won the gold medal of the women's Mistral class of the sailing competition at the 15th Doha Asian Games on Monday.

Chen, 21, won the first sailing event at the Games with a tiny edge over her rival Chan Wai Kei from Hong Kong of China, who got the silver.

The two have an equal net points of 12, but Chen scored five first finishes out of total nine races, while Chan had four.

The bronze medal went to Tansai Napalai from Thailand.
