BEIJING, Nov. 15 -- French sculptor Georges Saulterre admires his work, "Flying Colors," which was unveiled at ShanghaiMart yesterday.

Saulterre, chairman of the French Association of Sculpture and Art, created the piece specially for Shanghai Art Fair 2007, which will run from today until Monday as the closing event of the city's International Art Festival.

This year's event drew more than 150 art galleries from China and 17 from overseas. About 10,000 pieces of modern and contemporary art will be on display and more than 50,000 collectors, dealers, artists, curators and art lovers are expected to attend.
