China Mobile, the country's top wireless operator, began trial services of the third generation (3G) mobile phone service on April 1 in eight cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Tianjin. The third generation mobile phone service features a wireless Internet connection to Internet and videophoning capabilities.
