• More than 150 dead
• At least one foreigner among dead, a student from the Czech Republic
• More than 1,500 injured
• Some 10,000 damaged buildings
• At least 50,000 people homeless
• More than 5,000 rescue workers involved
• 5,000 rooms requisitioned in hotels on the nearby Adriatic coast to house survivors
• 2,000 tents set up in five makeshift camps in the quake zone
