President Hu starts Uzbekistan visit
TASHKENT, June 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived here Monday night for a two-day state visit to promote bilateral cooperation.

Chinese president arrives in Uzbekistan for state visit  

TASHKENT, June 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived here Monday night for a two-day state visit to promote bilateral cooperation.

Hu will hold talks with his Uzbek counterpart, Islam Karimov, on further development of bilateral relations as well as on regional and international issues.

During his stay in Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, the Chinesepresident will also attend a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization scheduled for Thursday.

Hu is on the last leg of a four-nation tour, which has already taken him to Poland, Hungary and Romania.
