"2046" fights against"Bamboo Shoot" BEIJING, May 10(Xinhuanet)-- Wong Kar-Wai's"2004" and Li Xin's"Bamboo Shoot" are to gather together superstars John Lone and Ferren Lee to contend for the honour of being the inaugural film of the 7th Shanghai International Film Festival. Sources revealed that two other films"Beautiful Shanghai" and"World" are the rivals of"2046" and"Bamboo Shoot". The festival focuses on the Asian film industry and this time includes a new award―the Asian New Talent Award. There are about 51 countries and 517 films participating in the festival. All films must be submitted in their original language. The Festival is composed of four regular sections including the"Jin Jue" Award International Film Competition, International Film Panorama, International Film& TV Market, and the"Jin Jue" International Film Forum which includes Asian New Talent Award Film Competition.
