BOGOTA, July 27(Xinhuanet)-- The first foreign athletes to run Sunday's Bogota half marathon arrived at this city on Wednesday.
Brazilian Andre Ramos and Estonian Pavel Loskutov were the first foreign runners to arrive in Colombia and started training Wednesday at the High-Performance Center of this capital.
The organizers of the race await Wednesday the arrial of Russian Lioudmila Kortchaguina, the winner of Cali and Medellin, who will do her utmost to win the Bogota race, which she has not been able to do until now.
On Thursday will arrive the Mexican athletes. The Mexican delegation is comprised by Adriana Fernandez, two-time Pan-American champion; Armando Quintanilla, the first champion of the Bogota half-Marathon, and Pablo Olmedo and David Galvan.
As well, the organizers announced the arrival of Brazilian Amarilson dos Santos, Bolivian Sonia Calizaya and Ecuadorian Franklin Tenorio. The so-called African legion is due to arrive on Friday 29. Enditem
