MADRID, July 28(Xinhuanet)-- Argentine striker Javier Saviola returned to Barcelona on Wednesday after a season loan to Monaco, hoping to find his future as soon as possible.

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has said there was no place for the former River Plate player in the team but the Spanish champions have not found a buyer for the 23-year-old international.

"At the moment I'm still a Barcelona player and have two years left to run on my contract," Saviola said in a news conference at the Nou Camp.

"But it isn't an easy situation for either me or the club and I want to find a solution that suits both parties as quickly as possible."

"If I stay I think I should have the same chance as anyone else of playing and if I leave it should be to improve as a player."

Saviola, who joined Spanish giant Barcelona from River Plate in2001 for$28 million, said city rivals Espanyol and Atletico Madrid had shown interest in him but there had been no progress in negotiations. Enditem
