All Chinese seeds advance to next round at HK badminton event

HONG KONG, Nov. 2(Xinhuanet)-- All seeds cruised into the next round at the Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2005 Wednesday except South Korea's No. 1 Lee Hyun II and Athens Olympic silver medalist Audina Tjiptawan from the Netherlands.

Lee Hyun II suffered an early exit after losing 0-2 to Yohan Wiratama of Hong Kong, China. Audina Tjiptawan was upset by French player Pi Hongyan 0-2.

In the men's singles, Chinese players Lin Dan, Chen Hong and Bao Chunlai defeated their opponents with easy 2-0 victories.

In the women's singles, Xie Xingfang crushed her rival 2-0.

In the mixed doubles, Zheng Bo/Zhao Tingting stormed into the next round by beating their opponents 2-0.

In the women's doubles, Gao Ling/Huang Sui also beat their rivals 2-0. Enditem
