Czech soccer star Nedved comes back for World Cup qualifier

PRAGUE, Nov. 3(Xinhuanet)-- Former captain of the Czech national soccer team Pavel Nedved, 33, returns to the national side for the World Cup play-off qualifier match with Norway, according to the nomination published by the national team coach Karel Brueckner on Thursday.

The midfielder appeared in the national team the last time at the European championship in July, 2004.

The first match with Norway is scheduled for Oslo on November 12, 2005, and the return match in Prague four days later.

The 23 players are:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Jaromir Blazek, Antonin Kinsky,

Defenders: Zdenek Grygera, Marek Jankulovski, Martin Jiranek, Radoslav Kovac, Pavel Mares, David Rozehnal, Tomas Ujfalusi,

Mid-fielders: Tomas Galasek, David Jarolim, Jiri Jarosik, PavelNedved, Karel Poborsky, Jan Polak, Jaroslav Plasil, Tomas Rosicky,Vladimir Smicer,

Strikers: Milan Baros, Marek Heinz, Tomas Jun, Jiri Stajner Enditem
