BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 7(Xinhuanet)-- Paraguayan league club Sportivo Luqeno hired Miguel Zazhu as coach on Monday, following the resignation of their previous coach Hugo Gonzalez on Sunday, local media said.

Gonzalez left after Cerro Porteno beat Luqeno 4-2.

Club's president Ramon Gonzalez Daher said that the team was hoping their new coach would keep them in the same division of thelegue. Recent losses mean it is already too late to fight for the top spot.

He added that good results in this season would mean that the new coach could stay in charge in 2006.

Zazhu managed to lift Argentina's General Caballero to the first division from the second division last season. However, poorresults this season mean that General will probably return to division two. Enditem
