Becks forced to stop training
2005-11-18 01:44:48 Xinhua English
BEIJING, Nov. 18-- David Beckham was forced off the training ground on Thursday, raising doubts over whether he will play in Real Madrid's league game with FC Barcelona this weekend.

Beckham, who has suffered from back pain in recent games, stopped during a practice match and called for a physiotherapist, the club said on its website.

Madrid will already be without defender Jonathan Woodgate and midfielder Thomas Gravesen for Saturday's match against the Spanish champion at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

However, the team will be boosted by the return from injury of Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Julio Baptista and Ivan Helguera.

Madrid lies third in the league with 21 points from 11 games, a point and a place behind Barcelona.
