BEIJING, Nov. 18(Xinhuanet)-- Chinese international midfielder Li Tie has felt the benefits of playing two international friendlies by getting back both confidence and fitness. Li, who currently plays with English premier league side Everton, had a 73-minute appearance in Wednesday night's goalless draw with Bulgaria following his 90-minute run-out against Serbia& Montenegro last weekend. It was the first time for the 28-year-old to play two games in the space of a week following an 18-month spell on the sidelines through injury. "I feel not so bad, that is the first time I have played two matches in one week so its big challenge for me physically and technically," said Li to Everton's website. "Playing for your country give you more confidence and tests you. That is definitely the best thing I need. It helps my confidence and also helps my fitness. You have to have more concentration and be more positive when you play such big matches," he added. Li has not started a game for Everton since February 2004 when he suffered a broken shin while on international duty. But he has been regaining his match fitness and make regular appearances in the club's reserves this season. "I have played two big matches for my country in six days now and that is really what I want, it will be valuable for me at clublevel." he said. Enditem
