Australia remain unbeaten in trans-Tasman softball series

WELLINGTON, Feb. 7(Xinhuanet)-- Olympic silver medallists Australia remained the only unbeaten team after Monday's rallies in the trans-Tasman women's softball series in Hamilton, New Zealand, local media reported Tuesday.

Australia qualified for Tuesday's final after securing their fourth and fifth wins Monday, 6-0 over New South Wales and 12-0 over New Zealand Red.

The two New Zealand teams, Red and Black, fill the middle positions with two wins apiece, leaving New South Wales as the last with only one victory.

The selection sides will play Australia and New South Wales in a double round robin Tuesday to decide who meet Australia in the final.

Both New Zealand teams picked up wins Monday, the Red team beating Black 2-0 before the latter saw off New South Wales 2-0. Enditem
