Lyon's Govou sidelined for three weeks due to injury

PARIS, Feb. 28(Xinhuanet)-- Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyon striker Sidney Govou will have a three-week layoff due to a shoulder injury, the French champions said in a statement on Monday.

Govou has made 19 appearances for France but was not picked forthe friendly against Slovakia at the Stade de France on Wednesday.

He is suspended for the second leg of Lyon's Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven on March 8 after being sent off in the first leg, in which the French side won 1-0 over the Dutch club. Enditem
