S. Korea to face Senegal, Bosnia for World Cup warm-ups

SEOUL, April 15(Xinhua)-- South Korea have picked Senegal and Bosnia as their friendly rivals in the eventual preparation for the World Cup finals, the Korea Football Association(KFA) said on Saturday.

The matches are slated on May 23 and 26 at Seoul World Cup Stadium or another stadium in the capital city, said Kang Shin-woo, vice president of the KFA's technical committee.

"We haven't signed anything with the two countries yet but we are about 99 percent there," he said.

The South Koreans, who lost to Germany in the semi-final of the 2002 World Cup on home soil, will leave for their base camp in Scotland on May 27 and have arranged final tune-ups against Norwayon June 1 and Ghana three days later.

South Korea have been drawn in Group G with France, Switzerland and Togo for the finals in Germany, which run from June 9 to July 9. Enditem
