HAVANA, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Cuba has welcomed a Chinese delegation led by Li Binghua, the executive vice-president of the Beijing Olympics Committee (BOCOG), who was invited by Cuba's Olympic chief, Jose Ramon Fernandez, Cuban media said on Wednesday.

The two-day visit began on Wednesday with a meeting between Li and Fernandez, who is also deputy president of Cuba's council of ministers, government newspaper Granma said.

During the meeting both parties agreed to work together in preparing athletes for the coming Olympics, due to run from Aug. 8 to Aug 24, 2008. Fernandez said he was sure that China would organize the best Games in history.
